Please do let us know as soon as possible of your plans and dates, so we can co-ordinate and potentially organise airport pick-ups for groups arriving at the same time.
London – Biarritz
Easy Jet flies to Biarritz from London Gatwick Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Ryanair flies most days with the following schedule:
- Stansted 6.45 – Biarritz 9.40
- Biarritz 16.20 – Stansted 17.15
London – Bordeaux
EasyJet flies every day - 3 times a day - to and fro Bordeaux. Current prices at £173 with a return on Monday 7 am!
British Airways also flies every day but once a day and is currently cheaper than EasyJet at £158.
Please keep checking as prices may fluctuate up and down and it might be cheaper to fly on the Monday morning if you can get an extra day off or get straight to the office!
It is possible to take the Eurostar from London – DAX. It takes about 7 hours and there is a change in Paris but is otherwise direct and relaxing!
From Dax, it is a Oui (bus) ride to Capbreton, unless we can organise to pick you and drive you if we know early in advance.
You can also rent a car in Dax across form the station and be more mobile!
If you are adventurous, you could drive down! We did last summer with a baby and it was relatively easy – motorways and services are pretty good in France! Then you would have your own car and be mobile and free to explore the beautiful region!
Ferries run regularly and there are often deals so it's wise to book early!
We have booked the amazing Baya Hotel and Spa for the celebrations and have rooms pre-booked at preferential rates. To reserve your room, please email us directly with your details (dates, number and name of guests, etc..) and we will co-ordinate with the Baya for you. Prices below are inclusive of tax, breakfast, wifi, and are per room, not per person. If you want to stay longer, please let us know so we can let you know prices.
Baya Hotel & Spa Capbreton, 85 avenue Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, Capbreton, Landes 40130, France
The South West is France’s Best kept secret! This is also where Isabelle grew up and many of you may have heard about the beautiful beaches of Biarritz, the Basque Country, Bordeaux, etc… There is so much to do and see and it is still pretty unspoilt! The food is amazing! The surf out of this world, stunning landscapes and even super golf courses, unless you just prefer to laze on a nearly white sandy beach! If you can avail the May bank holiday and half term holidays, why not make a holiday of it and extend your visit?
We will try to populate with more ideas of activities over the next few weeks and do not hesitate to ask us for information too!
Please note that public transport in France is different from the UK and there are only a few (and expensive) taxis, and if you are planning on visiting around, you may want to hire a car for ease of mobility. In particular, in the evenings, there are no taxis at night, and you may need a designated driver…
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No, but we hope you do! The Baya will be the central point for the celebrations so, if you just want to relax and have fun without worrying about taxis (they're very hard to find) and timings for wardrobe changes, then it'll be your easiest way to do so.
Oceanide rooms: from 385 Euros*
Junior Suite: from 410 Euros*
Panoramic rooms: from 490 Euros*
*Total cost for a 2 night booking from 2nd - 4th June. Room prices are calculated by room type and duration of stay rather than the number of guests staying in the room.
The links in the accommodation section will take you to the Baya's website but please do not book through their website - we have prebooked rooms for guests at these lower prices so please make sure you email us and we will liaise with the Baya for your booking.
If you're travelling from outside of France then you can fly (into Bordeaux), train (if you fancy a scenic start to your holiday), or drive (ferries are frequent from the UK). The easiest way by far will be to fly and we can help arrange airport transfers for groups arriving at similar times.
Given the location and time of the year, we'll be going with a 'beach chic' theme. It'll be warm so dress for comfort and make sure you've packed your sunscreen and flip flops as we will no doubt be heading to the beach opposite the venue over the weekend!
Please email us at hello@rossandisabelle.co.uk to let us know if you're able to join us and, if so, the names and ages (if under 18) of those who will be attending.
We're hoping to make this wedding an enjoyable one for everyone! Please let us know if you need special accommodations, or have any questions for us!
